Barry Andrewartha - Publisher

Barry's interest in diving began back in 1952 when as an 11 year old he took up underwater spearfishing. Four years later he purchased his first scuba unit, a British made Sea Lion unit, and a German made Robot 35mm underwater camera. As a dedicated diver he launched Sportdiving Magazine (then called Skindiving in Australia) back in 1969 and together with his wife and business partner launched Dive Log back in 1987. In 1974 he was the driving force behind Australia's first Underwater Congress Oceans '74 which continued on till 1986, then the "Nights of Adventure" and in 2012 the Blue on Tour event.

Barry has dived all around the world and is still an active diver and photographer.

Helga Hawkes - Graphic Designer

Helga graduated in Art and Design from Melbourne’s Dandenong Tafe 
College. For 18 years she was employed by the Fairfax Newspaper 
division (Melbourne) where she honed her skills in print advertising 
layout, typography, digital design and production, pre-press 
management and coordination. Helga then joined the Mountain Ocean and 
Travel Publications team as a graphic designer and continues to 
brighten the pages of International Freediving and the monthly tabloid 
Dive Log Australasia.

Leanne Wylie - Advertising/Events Coordinator

Since 2001 Leanne has worked at Mountain Ocean and Travel Publications as our Advertising/Events Coordinator for all three diving titles ‚ Sportdiving Magazine, Dive Log Australasia and International Freediving. Coming from a legal background, Leanne has utilised both her administration experience and her 'gift of the gab' skill, to her current title. She has successfully organised numerous local and overseas exhibitions and events without a hitch, and has a great rapport with all of our clients.

Gail Tippett - Accounts Manager

Gail commenced employment with Mountain Ocean & Travel Publications P/L back in the Year 2000.  Coming from a Corporate accounts background, she took on the role as Accounts Manager for MOT, 3 days per week.  She now controls the computerized accounts for both MOT & Pelagic Spearfishing companies and works a 4 day week.  WHAT A WONDERFUL and VALUED EMPLOYEE SHE HAS TURNED OUT TO BE!!

Leanne Turner - Subscriptions Manager/Contibutor Payments

After working for 15 years as a State Enrolled Nurse, Leanne joined Mountain Ocean & Travel Publications in November 2004 as an Administration Assistant to Gail Tippett, also taking on the processing of all contributor payments.

In 2006, Leanne was offered the position of Subscriptions Manager and is now solely responsible for the maintenance of our Subscription database.

Leanne entertains all of the staff at Mountain Ocean & Travel Publications and without her humour, the place wouldn’t be the same!
